Ask The Experts: What Are Your “Go To” Immune Support Products?
Every day our Medical Education team receives practitioner questions on a wide variety of topics. With winter season in full swing, we decided to ask what they keep on hand in their home “dispensary” to maintain healthy and robust immune systems.

My new favorite to keep on hand is Allimax which recently has been working really great for a lot of people I know. I also keep Source Naturals Wellness Formula Tablets on hand which I’ve used successfully now for over 20 years. It’s a classic, and I love that it has all the vitamin C I need in addition to the botanicals. I also like Echinacea Goldenseal Pro capsules by Gaia Herbs. Gaia also has Black Elderberry Extract capsules, which I keep in the cupboard for extra support when needed.
Let’s also not forget the teas! For a scratchy throat, I like Pukka’s Elderberry & Echinacea Tea and Gaia’s Throat Shield. There are also lots of good ones by Yogi Teas, like Echinacea Immune Support, and Throat Comfort.
If there is air travel involved, I make sure to take Wellness Formula and bring along Maitake D-Fraction EZ Spray from Mushroom Wisdom. Host Defense also makes an option called Host Defense Mycoshield Spray. It’s a yummy peppermint flavored mushroom extract (which also doubles as a peppermint breath spray). It comes in cinnamon flavor too which is great for kids!
On a daily basis, I support my immune system with olive leaf extract, mushroom formulas, and beta-glucan (Wellmune) supplements, in addition to adaptogen formulas which include ginseng, eleuthero and a little bit of licorice root.

My “Go-To’s” for everyday support are AnthoImmune Elderberry Syrup by Maine Medicinals. I often take the syrup on its own, but will also mix the syrup into water or seltzer water for a yummy daily boost. I also like the Super Bio Vegetarian by Priority One.
When it comes to daily support for my kids’, I also include probiotics, like Klaire Labs’ Ther-Biotic Children’s’ Chewables. Elderberry syrup is great for them as well and can even serve as a topping for ice cream!

I like Wellness Herbal Resistance by Source Naturals. I use this personally when I need it and it really helps. I’ve also had good success with V Clear EPs 7630 by Integrative Therapeutics.
“Knock on wood” I’ve never actually had to use Oscillococcinum, but it’s a homeopathic I keep on hand and would use at the very first sign of the flu if needed.
